ROVR Premium Pet Food and Supply Delivery – Review

ROVR Premium Pet Food and Supply Delivery – Review

One of my favourite things about Toronto is the fact that I don’t need a car to get around. But living car-free is all fine and dandy until you need to buy a 30lb bag of litter every month and lug it onto the TTC. After struggling through this monthly ordeal for over three years, I made the wonderful discovery of a company called ROVR.

ROVR is a Toronto-based delivery service for premium pet food and supplies. They carry the highest quality pet brands, including Acana, Blue Buffalo, Orijen, Fromm, and many more. They offer next-day delivery, which sounds almost too good to be true… so, naturally, I needed to try it out. 😉

By the way, this is NOT a sponsored article. This is my actual experience using ROVR. So, without further ado…

How ROVR works + our experience

The process is super easy. Just add items to your shopping cart, like any other online store. I decided to order two large bags of Yesterday’s News Cat Litter, which would add up to a two-month supply for my ferrets.

As you can see, they give you an option to subscribe so you never have to worry about ordering before you run out. (Note: the subscription option is available on certain products only) I settled on a one-time order that day, with the assumption that I would consider the subscription package if I had a good experience. Spoiler alert: I’m signing up for a subscription as soon as I run out of these bags, so you know it went well in the end.

When it’s time to check out, the website prompts you to select a delivery date and time. As you can see, the time options are extremely flexible, so you can ensure you’ll be home once the delivery arrives.

I chose an evening time slot on the very next day, and promptly went on with my life, forgetting I had made the order. It was a lovely treat when the doorbell rang the next day, right on time, and my 60lbs of kitty litter were gently placed in my apartment. The order was delivered by Sohail, the founder and owner of ROVR. He was very friendly and courteous, and made the experience that much better.

ROVR delivers to all of the City of Toronto, bound by the 401, Kennedy Rd, Jane/Keele, and the Gardiner Expressway.

Pricing

The prices of the products are fair and straightforward. I’ve found that they’re comparable with the prices at local pet stores.

Delivery is totally free for subscription orders and one-time orders over $40. Otherwise, you’re looking at a $9.99 flat rate.

As you know, at PetsGo, we love simple pricing, so ROVR’s model makes us very happy!

Bottom Line

We’re waving goodbye to the days of dragging giant bags of litter onto the TTC (even worse in the snow, ughhhh), thanks to the wonderful service from ROVR! I mentioned this earlier, but, as soon as we run out of these two bags, I’ll be taking full advantage of that free delivery that comes with subscription orders.

But wait, there’s more!

If you’ve read this far, it means you too might be sick of the aforementioned dragging of large bags from the pet store to your house. I’ve negotiated a special coupon JUST for you.

On checkout, use the code “PetsGo” for 5% off any one-time order. Thank you, Sohail and ROVR!
