Meet the PetsGo Team!

After taking a break from my jobs in the non-profit, arts, and human rights fields, I decided to turn my focus to another love – caring for animals. Walking through the city with a pup or hanging out with a pet at home is a joy, and it’s amazing to meet and work with so many different types, breeds, ages, sizes, temperaments, and needs.

Why I’m “pawsome”:

  • I’ve had or taken care of all sorts of pets, including those with medical needs and behavioural issues
  • Taking a dog for a walk is my favourite type of exercise
  • There are no limits to my affection for pets

My pets:
Margaret Catwood (Mags) is a tiny, old Persian cat with heart disease who loves sleeping and having her face scratched. Addie is a shepherd mix rescued from Greece who adores people but is still working on her anxiety towards other dogs, storms, and trucks.

My favourite thing about working with PetsGo:
Spending time and getting outside with as many new animal friends as possible!

When I’m not pet sitting, I’m…
Reading, doings puzzles and crosswords, serenading my pets, and drinking sour beers

Now owned and operated by Camille Salter, a professionally certified force-free dog trainer, Camille acquired PetsGo as the first choice of its founder Sarah El-Sherbini. Sarah felt that Camille would bring the expertise, business drive, and heart to PetsGo needed to see it succeed long-term. A friend of Sarah’s since the opening of her first pet care business, All Dogs, Camille brings a deep understanding of dogs, an unshakeable love of all animals, and the desire to provide good working conditions to all of her valued staff to the table. Camille gets a particular kick out of reaching dogs that need a different level of care and consideration in their daily management. These are the dogs that forever change us as dog parents, because they teach us to see the world through their eyes.

Camille holds certifications earned through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, Dr. Ian Dunbar’s Dog Behavior and Training Academy, Dr Sophia Yin’s Low-Stress Handling school, Aggressive Dog Handling via the IAABC, and others.
